4-day Mount Meru Climb
Mount Meru is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain and offers a challenging climb with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Arusha National Park.
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi or Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Meet your guide for a briefing on the climb, equipment check, and final preparations. Enjoy dinner and rest in anticipation of the trek.
Day 2: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
Drive to Momella Gate (1,500m) for registration. Begin the trek through lush rainforest, spotting wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and monkeys. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut (2,514m) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
Continue the ascent through the forest and into the moorland zone. Enjoy views of the Meru Crater and Ash Cone. Arrive at Saddle Hut (3,570m) for dinner and overnight. Optional hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization.

Day 4: Saddle Hut to Summit to Miriakamba Hut
Start the summit attempt at midnight, climbing through rocky terrain to reach Rhino Point (3,800m) and then the summit of Socialist Peak (4,566m). Enjoy the sunrise and panoramic views from the summit. Descend to Miriakamba Hut for overnight.

Day 5: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate
Descend through the forest to Momella Gate. Transfer back to Moshi or Arusha for a well-deserved rest.
