General Information
Tanzania Footmark Safaris organizes safaris, day trips, beach holidays, mountain climbing expeditions, and custom private safari and tour packages in Tanzania. Please carefully review the following terms and conditions, as they apply when entering into an agreement with Tanzania Footmark Safaris.

Please note that these terms and conditions may be updated periodically due to changing circumstances. However, the terms in effect at the time of booking will be applicable. Conditions in Africa can differ from those in developed countries, and standards of service, medical facilities, safety, and security may be lower than those in your home country. The laws and regulations of the country where services are provided will govern your holiday arrangements.

Booking Confirmation
Once you approve your personalized safari itinerary, we will send you an official booking form. Please complete and return this form by email. A valid travel insurance is mandatory when booking your safari with us.

Upon receipt of your completed booking form, we will proceed with the reservations for accommodation, excursions, and domestic flights (if applicable). Once all travel services have been reconfirmed, we will send you an invoice, which will also serve as your booking confirmation.

Terms of Payment
A deposit of 30% of the total invoice amount must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date. The remaining balance is due eight weeks (56 days) before your arrival. For bookings made within 56 days of departure, the full amount of the invoice is required immediately. We will send you a confirmation once we receive the payment. Please ensure that bank transfer costs are fully covered by the sender.

If payment deadlines are not met, you will receive a reminder. If payment is not received after the reminder, we reserve the right to cancel your trip and charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the total amount.

Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your trip, please notify us by email at your earliest convenience. Cancellations will be effective on the date we receive your request. The following cancellation fees apply:

• Cancellation up to 56 days before the day of arrival: 30% of the total amount
• Cancellation from 56 days to 42 days before the day of arrival: 75% of the total amount
• Cancellation from 42 days to the day of arrival: 100% of the total amount

No refunds will be given for any unused services, late arrivals, or no-shows.

Amendments
All proposed safari itineraries are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed. If the proposed accommodation is fully booked, we will offer you a suitable alternative in the same price range or higher (a surcharge may apply). If the alternative travel services are unacceptable to you, we will provide a full refund. We recommend booking well in advance, especially during peak seasons (July, August, and mid to late December), to avoid potential disappointment.

Tanzania Footmark Safaris reserves the right to amend and adjust the itinerary, transportation, accommodation, and services indicated in the safari program due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Any changes will be communicated as early as possible.

Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory, and we recommend also insuring for cancellation. If you already have travel insurance, please verify your coverage. While we will handle ground service arrangements, we do not book international flights. Confirming your safari will automatically enroll you in the AMREF Flying Doctors Tourist Evacuation program (day trips excluded).

Visa
A tourist visa is required for travel to Tanzania. It is your responsibility to obtain this visa online before your safari or upon arrival. For more information on the tourist visa, please refer to our Tanzania Travel Tips.

Transportation
We strive to ensure that safari vehicles are in roadworthy condition, but we cannot be held liable for punctures, breakdowns, damage, or delays due to poor road conditions. Only our guides are authorized to drive the company vehicles, and their decisions regarding routes are final.

Wildlife
Observing animals in their natural habitat is a privilege, and we cannot guarantee wildlife sightings. Please exercise caution when viewing animals, maintain a minimum distance, and follow the instructions given by your tour guide or wildlife rangers.

Complaints
Any complaints must be reported immediately to the Tanzania Footmark Safaris guide (or head office) and the service provider, who will strive to resolve the issue. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction, please submit a written complaint within 30 days of completing your tour. We cannot accept liability for complaints not reported in accordance with these procedures.

Liability
While Tanzania Footmark Safaris will exercise the utmost care with you and your belongings, we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, personal injury, or death. This also includes accommodation, flights, and activities provided by third parties. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.

Force Majeure
If Tanzania Footmark Safaris is affected by force majeure, which includes circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, war, civil unrest, or government intervention, we will inform you immediately. While we will make reasonable efforts to compensate you where possible, we may deduct reasonable costs related to the force majeure event from any refund.

Use of Website
Tanzania Footmark Safaris grants you permission to view, download, and print the content from our website for private, personal, educational, and non-commercial use only. Unauthorized use or exploitation of the website’s content for commercial purposes requires prior written permission from Tanzania Footmark Safaris. We are committed to taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information.
